Central Heating System
The MagnaClean is an excellent product, magnetically taking out all loose metal in your central heating system. Another good product is a hard water reducer on the cold supply to the boiler, reducing lime scale build up. The most important addition to your system is inhibitor, this stops corrosion and keeps running cost down. I drain a lot of central heating systems and can instantly tell a system without inhibitor. I recommend a central heating drain, flush and treatment addition every 5 years minimum.

 

Boiler

A boiler service is very important! cleaning the parts that can cause breakdown, increasing the life of your boiler.

As described in central heating, is all good for the boiler. Another important addition is a frost stat for when the boiler is installed in a loft or garage/outbuilding. This will protect from ice damage that could result in a new boiler.

A lime scale reducer is a very important addition to any home. There are many different types, easy to fit and some don't involve any plumbing. They protect taps, showers, kettles, irons, washing machines, dishwashers and most of all the boiler. I recommend one of these because of all the damage I see in my work.
